By 16 she became a licensed cosmetologist, kickstarting a career that now spans over 25 years. throughout her career, Melissa has continuously refined her craft, attending training classes with some of the top educators in the industry, including the renowned Vidal Sassoon in London.

With diverse skill set, Melissa is a well-rounded stylist as they come. She is proficient in a wide range of hair services, from precision cuts and vibrant color to specialized styling. Melissa is also highly trained in multiple types of extensions, offering clients the opportunity to achieve their dream hair with the latest techniques. Melissa’s dedication to excellence ensures every client leaves her chair feeling confident and beautiful.

A proud native Texan, Joni has built a career around her love for hair cutting, specializing in creating flattering precision cuts that enhance each client’s unique style. With a deep understanding of curly hair and a passion for working with all textures. Joni is dedicated to helping clients feel confident and beautiful in their natural hair.

Paulina is a passionate and dedicated hairstylist with over 6 years of experience in the beauty industry, including 5+ years at Good Hair Day. As a second-generation hairstylist, she was born and raised around the beauty industry, developing her love for cosmetology at an early age. After earning her cosmetology license in high school, she knew this was the path she was meant to pursue.

Starting out as a personal assistant in McLean, Paulina eventually transitioned to Good Hair Day, where she found her true passion—helping clients look and feel their best. While she loves all aspects of hair, she especially enjoys lived-in color and extensions.

Always eager to grow, Paulina is constantly learning new techniques to better serve her clients. With her deep love for hair and attention to detail, she brings a personal touch to every service—ensuring each client leaves feeling confident and beautiful.

After spending 2.5 years as an assistant at Good Hair Day, Ashley began building her own chair, growing a loyal clientele along the way. Her journey into the beauty industry began as a teenager, experimenting with hair and makeup on friends and family, and quickly realizing that this was the career path she was meant to follow.

A proud first generation Guatemalan-American raised in Northern Virginia, Ashley brings a unique perspective and a warm welcoming approach to every service. Outside of the the salon, she enjoys nurturing her plant collection, reading a good book, and catching the latest film in the movie theater.

Katie

With five years of experience in the beauty industry , Katie has developed a true passion for creating stunning blondes and flawless extensions. Specializing in these areas, Katie is dedicate to helping clients achieve their dream looks with precision and care.

Katie journey into the world of hairstyling began unexpectedly. Although she always enjoyed doing her baby cousins hair growing up, It wasn’t until her aunt suggested cosmetology school, that she realized it was the perfect career for her, after enrolling Katie quickly fell in love with the craft beginning her professional hair journey at Good Hair Day. Katie spent 2 years assisting and learning from experienced stylist before taking on her own chair. Driven by a love for making clients feel their best, Katie is passionate about creating beautiful, personalized styles that leave a lasting impression.

Nicole

Nicole has been a proud member of the Good Hair Day team since 2020 and has loved every moment of it. Her passion for hairstyling began at just 16 years old when she enrolled in her high school’s cosmetology program. By the time she turned 18, Nicole was a licensed cosmetologist and eager to dive into the beauty industry.

For four years, Nicole developed her skills and mastered various techniques at another salon before bringing her talent and enthusiasm to the Good Hair Day family. Since joining the team, her love for hair and all things beauty has only grown stronger. Nicole takes pride in creating styles that bring joy to her clients, whether through a fresh new look or a confidence-boosting touch-up. She values the genuine connections she builds with each client and believes that every appointment is an opportunity to make someone’s day brighter. When she’s not behind the chair, Nicole enjoys exploring the latest beauty trends and finding inspiration to continue perfecting her craft.

Elisa

Elisa has been apart of the Good Hair Day team since the age of seventeen, starting as an assistant and later personal assisting one of the Premier stylists. With the guidance of her dedicated mentor she increased her skills and developed a deep appreciation for growth in her technique and artistry. Elisa’s passion for hair began at home, doing hairstyles and cutting hair for her little sister. This early interest blossomed into a career that blends creativity with a personal connection.

Coming from a large Hispanic family. Elisa’s values the importance of heritage and family which are the central to both her work ethic and approach to styling. She enjoys making clients feel confident and beautiful. She is dedicated to continuing her growth as a stylist and bringing her best to every appointment. As a first generation college student and the first in her family to be born in the United States, She is proud to be a honor student , and balancing the work of being a student and a cosmetologist. Outside of the salon she enjoys reading books, painting and cherishing time with her loved ones.
